Santa Angela (Strano) Duggan's Obituary
Santa Angela (Strano) Duggan, 89, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away peacefully after a long illness on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the Mary Immaculate Nursing Home in Lawrence. Born in Santa Maria La Scala, Acireale, Sicily, Santa came to Lawrence at 9 months old. She was educated in the Lawrence Schools and attended Lawrence High School. Santa was retired from Raytheon in Andover where she had worked for 30 years. She was very nurturing to both people and animals and had an exceptional green thumb. She was a very compassionate person and showed a lot of empathy towards people. Santa was also a very accomplished Seamstress. Members of Santa's family include: her husband of 50 years: Bernard J. Duggan, three children: Joseph M. Squadrito and his wife Rita of Ft. Wayne, IN, Maria T. Fredriksen, wife of the late Nils Fredriksen, of Newburyport, MA, and Joseph E. Fallon and his wife Gloria of Manchester, NH, a sister: Josephine Costanzo of Allen, TX, grandchildren: Joel Squadrito, Lea M. Squadrito-Laux, Jay Squadrito, and Nicholas B. Guess, great grandchildren: Joseph Squadrito, and Andrew Squadrito, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 1, 2012 at 9:00 A.M. in St. Monica's Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
