Salvatore "Sal" Scalisi's Obituary
Salvatore “Sal” Scalisi, 75, a resident of Andover, MA and a former longtime resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022, at the Lawrence General Hospital.
The son of the late Antonio and Lorenzina (Catalano) Scalisi, Sal was born in Lawrence and educated in the Lawrence Schools graduating from Lawrence High School in 1966. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War receiving numerous awards and citations including the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with three Bronze Service Stars, the Vietnam Campaign Medal, the Combat Infantry Badge, and the Army Commendation Medal. Sal had worked at Honeywell in Lawrence for over 30 years. He enjoyed his trips to Venice Florida and loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed.
Members of Sal’s family include his wife of 45 years Carol (Stagno) Scalisi, a daughter Jana Scalisi formerly of North Andover and most recently of Florida, a son Mark Scalisi and his wife Kathleen of Salem, NH, a brother Nicholas Scalisi and his wife Betty of Methuen, MA, his grandchildren Stella and Anthony Scalisi as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11:30 A.M. in St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main St., North Andover, MA. Burial will take place at a later date. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday morning prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sal’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, (stjude.org), The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
