Cousin Bob had a big heart! He loved his family and was the most loyal friend you could ever have. His sarcasm was expected when he was with any of us. His stories of his young and adventurous earlier days were entertaining! His health issues were numerous and extreme but he had the strongest will to survive. His contentment in his life and his actions with his family, friends, and neighbors are something we all should honor and try to emulate. My Mom loved visits from Bob so she could feed him all his favorite Lebanese dishes! I’m happy that Bob will be with our loved ones again!

Bob was my fellow Court Officer at Lawrence District Court in 1979 and 1980. It was a dreadful job, but Bob always made it easier with his sense of humor and one-of-a-kind personality.

Thanks for all the help and laughs, Bob. I couldn’t have made it through that year without you!

And I’m sorry about all the jokes we all made about your beloved New York Football Giants, who weren’t very good in those days. Just for you, I rooted for them against the Packers last week. “Win one for Bobby DiBurro,” I said to my TV screen. And they did! Congratulations, Bob!

Bobby was my youngest Uncle. Growing up he was more like the very cool older cousin or big brother.
Bobby lived his life on his own terms. Always.
He had a special presence about him and the best sense of humor. He is still making me laugh as I look at a family picture taken years ago in which he gave a not so subtle indication of his displeasure with posing with his four siblings. Or when I think of his many rants about his crazy family, politics, or his health challenges.

What makes me smile the most though was his endless generosity and love for his family and his many nieces and nephews. Bobby wasn’t a wealthy man but you would never know it, the way he gifted the people he loved with jewelry…and sometimes complete strangers too. He lived simply so he could make others happy.

Uncle Bobby was truly one of a kind.
He will be greatly missed. He already is.

Bob was a warm and generous man who made lives in the Senior Housing complex he was in fun by bringing prizes for those who won. He once drove me to my sister's house in Bradford when she was away on a blazing hot day and waited while I watered the plants and took me home twice because the buses didn't run on Sundays or holidays. He never complained and on the Friday evening before he passed, he was in fine fettle. He appeared to enjoy himself and invited one of the guys up to watch the game. He didn't appear to be in pain. Everyone in Haverhill Housing will miss him.

Bobby I have not seen you since July 2015, it was at the wake of our beloved friend Jim Vittorioso. When I walked into the funeral parlor you was sitting all alone in the back row I came over to you and we hugged and we both said it has been so long since we spoke or even seen each other. We both were there early so we had plenty of time talking about the old days on Oak street and telling stories about the happenings we both experienced. I remember clearly about the Di Burro's Cleaners on Oak Street that your Dad opened and how he had your brother Jimmy running the place and WOW what a fiasco that was we both were in tears over laughing so hard. We also had many more stories that we talked about. But mostly we both said where did the time go. I was so saddened to hear of your passing please as you travel into your next life please give for me big hugs and my love to your Brothers Peter & Jimmy. God Rest Your Soul because you had a great one.

I remember visiting Uncle Bob in the Boston hospital after his first cardiac event. When I walked in he gave me hell because he hadn’t seen me in forever. I told him that I was there now and was no longer ‘little’ Peter. We both laughed and gained a bit of respect for each other that day and we were closer after that even when we were apart.

When he bought a new TV and a soundbar he asked me to come to his Haverhill apartment to set it up. He had to be assured that he could watch his karate DVDs. He paid me with some flower. Stephanie and I will light it up and have a toke to remember our Uncle Bobby. We love you Uncle Bob.

I met Bob AKA "Satch" through my husband Wayne. Bob and Wayne's brother Gary were the best of friends. They all go way back many many years. I had only met Satch 3 times in my life, but I was drawn to his kind and gentle demeanor and most of all his incredible sense of humor!! He could have you in stitches in no time at all!! His sarcasm was epic! He was quite generous and would gift jewelry at events to anyone and everyone. He was a wonderful man. I only wish I had the privilege of meeting him MUCH sooner, knowing him longer & seeing him just one more time. RIP Satch! You deserve eternal peace after all you endured physically on this earth. I bet you have the heavens rumbling in laughter because that's who you are and who you always will be. I am so honored to have met you and shared witty banter and great conversation. You sleep now, Satch! I will always remember you fondly!!!

So many memories of our Uncle Bobby! Uncle Bob was not a man of many means, but he aways managed to have a little something for everyone. Nobody could escape the wrath of Uncle Bob’s magic duffle bag of goodies, gems and jewelry or his hand wrapped (with the help of my sisters) gifts that he personally picked out. Somehow he had the sizes of everyone stashed away in his memory!! He beamed with joy digging through the bag of goodies to find just the right item to put a smile, hug and big thank you from everyone. I for one will miss him sitting off in the corner calling all the girls by name to present them with their special gift. He was the DiBurro Santa to our Family Christmas dinner!

You will missed but never forgotten Uncle Bobby!!
