In addition to his immediate family, Kathy, Shaun and Colleen, Rick had a large wonderful Irish family of parents, grandchildren, sister, brothers, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins, so many cousins. Naturally, family gatherings became a way to see extended family. Rick’s love of family, warm summers and the beach all became the perfect driver for Rick to organize his annual party at Salisbury Beach. The grills would be smoking, the pots were boiling and great food would be coming in, left and right. The ocean was our play land the kids would frolic in the water under watchful eyes of aunts and uncles. The weather couldn’t dampen spirits and chants like “Hooray for whoever, hooray at last”. When families started departing they would get a rendition of “We hate to see you go.”
Rick and Kathy, with a few helping hands, put a terrific time together. A time that all looked forward to. We will miss you Rick.
