Tim Armitage
Mrs. Finneran will be missed by all the Armitages who grew up along side her children, many of us best friends. She and my mother were an informal team, looking after—and keeping tabs on—kids from both families. They had a genuine friendship and always supported one another. I spent countless hours riding in the back seat of Mrs. Finneran’s car as she watched me (and all of us) grow up, listening to our stories and woes, and providing the parental perspective we needed. She loved to laugh, was a great conversationalist and enjoyed unwinding at the end of the day surrounded by her family and friends. As we tykes turned into teens and then coeds, Mrs. Finneran was always there, welcoming her kids’ friends into her home as if they were her own. I feel very lucky to have been blessed with two great moms, my own and Pat Finneran.
