I had the sincere pleasure of knowing Murph, when she volunteered here at the Westwood Senior Center; personally I adored her. Murphy was always willing to help our senior community with whatever needed to be done; moreover, she made us laugh with her quick wit and her wonderful humor.
My favorite stories came from her life as a florist (we both had great stories about the Chelsea market) and her "shack" in Rhode Island. She spoke of her amazing daughter, son in law and grandchildren ... she loved living and sharing her life with them.
I only had the pleasure of knowing her for two years, but I always felt I knew her in another life. She was charming, smart, witty and beautiful, inside and out.
I will personally miss her but feel blessed to have known her, albeit briefly.
Prayers and Sympathy to the family.
