My Grandmother was one of the most positive people I have known. I remember picking blueberries in her driveway.. Lol.. asny other sisters have said. I remember her offering me a popsicle if I went underwater for the first time in the McClean's pool. She was funny, kind, happy, upbeat. She always remembered Tyler and Drew's Birthday (her great grandchildren, 2 of many). You are loved and will be missed, Grandma!
One of the many things I love about my Grandma is that whenever I saw her, she would put her hands on my cheeks and say "Oh Tricia, it is so good to see you!" and a big kiss and hug would follow. She does that in all of my childhood memories, and she did it the last time I saw her a few years ago in Penacook Place.
I also remember picking “blue-brees” from the bushes on the side of her driveway … and she would laugh when there were only a few berries in my pail, but about 10 in my mouth!
She had a heart as big as the ocean (and it was full of love), a laugh that warmed your soul, and a smile that made you feel like … well, if you were lucky enough to know her, you know how that smile made you feel. I know I was blessed to have her in my life … and for that I will be forever grateful. Love & miss you, Gram!
Despite spending most of my life far away from my Grandmother, I have many memories. I remember when I was young, every Sunday we had dinner at her house. She would let me choose one of the pretty glasses from her china cabinet to drink ginger ale from. Of course, the prettiest ones were the size of a shot glass so she would spend the day refilling my tiny glass. She ended up giving me those 4 little colored glasses which I will cherish forever.
I remember she had a statue of the Virgin Mary in her backyard. Every May, I would get all dressed up, and we would have a procession out to the statue. She gave me a silk pillow to carry the crown on and I would put the crown on the statue.
I remember picking fresh blueberries on the side of her driveway. And swimming in the McClean's pool right behind her house in the summertime. And going to Lake Winnipesaukee where my grandfather had taught all of us to swim.
My grandparents would come to Florida every winter so I was able to visit with them there. Grandma was always welcoming us whether it be the place on the beach in Ft. Myers, or the condo on the east coast.
We will miss her but now she is with Grandpa, Uncle Jack, my mother Marilyn, Uncle Dick, and Kate.
My beautiful friend Peg We had so many wonderful fun years together Just filled me so with your warmth and love Will miss you so Love to her beautiful family who she talked about so warmly and I met We will all miss her so Love to you all Pat Pease
To Peg and Family, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of your mother. What an amazing life span she had. She was the sweetest, nicest person. Also my favorite member of the Elgasco/First Choice Credit Unions. I loved talking to her. As proud as she was of her family I'm sure you were so proud to have her as your mom. She spoke often about all of you. I will never forget her. She's with Jack now who was on the Elgasco board and worked for us as well as the Electric Company. May they both rest in peace.

I will always remember my dear friend! She was a real role model of what every woman hopes to be. Always smiling, smart, and had a great sense of humor. Last year when I returned from Florida, I went to visit with her. She was napping and I did not think she would remember me (105!). However, I asked "Peg: are you asleep?" She replied: "Well, where on earth have you been Ruthann?" I was so choked up that she still had her memory and sense of humor that I had to hold back tears.
Peg was a "One of a kind" person and she shared many stories with me. My favorite being how she met Richard on a bus and how the romance began! She was such a good person that I will never forget knowing her and being a small part of her life. God Bless my Dear friend until (I hope) we meet again. Love, Ruthann
Where to begin? What to share? So many wonderful memories through the years. Margaret was my mother's very dear friend, and I was fortunate to be included in their circle of warmth. Going out to lunch was always a joy and a laugh (even when they were both needing a little help - we called it the Walkers Brigade). Her friendship sustained me when I lost my mother, and our friendship deepened over time. Visiting her at Merrivista, then Penacook, I called it our time for "huckles and chugs" (once I reversed the word beginnings, giving us a little inside joke). I never came away without both chuckles and hugs. Her quick (but never unkind) wit and her generous (and always positive) spirit provided countless moments to treasure. They will stay with me forever. I will miss her greatly, but with gratitude for having her in my life.
