Dear family of Buddy:
I've known buddy since the 1950's when he would sit-in at some of our gigs. I'm sorry I was unable to attend his service yesterday, but my heart and prayers were with him and his small family, however a "large" family of friends for sure.
Most recent has been the many years of chatting with him at Jocko's weekly jazz at the Sahara club.
I am Lou Yelle, pianist, and my wife, Janet and I offer our sincere condolences to you. Buddy was a close friend of my brother, Frank , bass player, who passed on 7 years ago.
May Buddy now rest in peace, and may family and family and friends find comfort in fond memories of him.
