Joanne M. Bowler's Obituary
Joanne M. Bowler, 74 of Lawrence, MA passed away on Monday April 9, 2018, after a brief unexpected illness. Joanne is survived by her adoring daughters, Kathleen Boutin of Boston, MA and Sharon Boutin of Lawrence, MA. Joanne lived in Lawrence for most of her life. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School of Lawrence, MA. For 16 years, she was also a devoted employee of the Lawrence Public School System.
Joanne was a fun, feisty and loving woman who enjoyed traveling the world with her grammar school friends from Saint Laurence O’Toole. When she was not gallivanting about, she could be found behind the counter at Tripoli's Bakery or at the beach gazing at the ocean and enjoying long walks and a glass of wine with her friends and family. She could also be found tapping her toes or kicking up her heels while listening to Irish Music or watching her daughter's Irish Step Dance.
In addition to her two daughters, she leaves behind her sister Helen (Bowler) Benoit and brother-in-law Roland ‘Ben’ Benoit of Hampton, NH, as well as several nieces, nephews, grand and great-grandnieces and nephews, beloved cousins, and adoring friends.
The family would like to thank the physicians, nurses and aides at Beth Israel Hospital for the devoted, kind and compassionate care Joanne received during her illness. We are forever grateful.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass at the church at 10:00AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at St. Michael’s church, 196 Main St, North Andover, MA. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home Inc. 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA.
