I knew Joanne from when we both worked in the Lawrence Public Schools. Joanne always had a smile on her face. She never failed to make me smile. I have fond memories of our friendship through the years. I am truly saddened that she has passed, but know that she will be lighting up another place with her beautiful smile and her fantastic sense of humor.
