George A. Desell, Jr. 81, A resident of Salem, NH died on Saturday, August 17th, 2019 at the Highpoint House in Haverhill, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on August 5, 1938 to George A. Sr. and Mary (Proctor) Desell. Born and educated in Lawrence, MA, a 1955 Graduate of Lawrence High School. Later he received his Bachelors in Mathematics from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell, MA. He worked as an Engineer for Lucent Technologies in North Andover, MA, for 41 years until his retirement in 2001. He adored his family especially his grand daughters who knew him as Grumpy. Also an avid fan of the Boston Bruins, Boston Redsox and New England Patriots.
He leaves his loving wife of 56 years: Joan M. (Buckland) Desell, and also survived by daughter; Karyn Cullen and her fiance’ Bruce Martin of Sandown, NH, Grumpy’s pride and joy his grand daughters: Shannon Joan Cullen and Kaitlyn Rose Cullen also his sister: Lynda Provost of Cape Elizabeth, Maine, & two brothers: Dennis Desell of Wells, Maine and Robert Desell of Lawrence, MA. And several nieces and nephews.
