Elizabeth M. (Dupuis) Conway's Obituary
Elizabeth M. (Dupuis) Conway, 81, a resident of Lawrence, MA, passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Born in Lawrence, Elizabeth was educated in the Lawrence Schools and was a 1953 graduate of Lawrence High School. Elizabeth went on to graduate from the Lawrence General Hospital School of Nursing in 1973 where she was named Student Nurse of the year. She was the first student nurse at Lawrence General to receive the award. She then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Humanities from Merrimack College. Elizabeth had worked as a Nurse at Lawrence General Hospital for over 30 years. Prior to that she had worked as a Nurse at Digital for 20 years. She was very involved with the Lawrence High School Class of 1953 Reunion Committee as well as longtime member of the Lawrence Conservation Committee. Elizabeth enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elizabeth was predeceased by her former husband Edward J. Conway and is survived by her six children: Patricia Maurice and her husband Roland of Lowell, MA, Edward Conway and his wife Janice of Sitka, AK, Michael Conway of Jacksonville, FL, Shawn Conway and his wife Lisa of Tewksbury, MA, Maureen Lewis and her husband Joseph of Salem, NH and Christopher Conway and his wife Renee of North Andover, MA. Elizabeth is also survived by 12 grandchildren: Jennifer, Daniel, Kevin, Emily, Meghan, Evan, Katie, Jessica, Alex, Zach, Ryan and Leah as well as 2 great grandchildren: Olivia and Ava. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery, also in Lawrence, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA.
