Liz was my older sister Peg's best childhood friend.Peg was so proud of her accomplishments. I last saw Liz when she came to Peg's funeral back in 2001. Liz was as vibrant and loving as I remembered her as a child. We,my husband and I, are away otherwise we would be paying our respects in person. Liz a truly wonderful person.
My heart is truly broken. I met Liz when right out of college I went to work at Digital. Somehow I was lucky enough to have met, and become friends, with Liz and with Helen Daniels. They taught me how to have fun at work and when to buckle down and get things done. Liz and Helen were more than 20 years older than I was and they called me the baby. Our joke was people must have been asking themselves why would such a young person hang around with 2 old people! The answer is that I knew that both Liz and Helen were 2 special women that I adored and who took me under their wings. I knew we would be friends for a lifetime and we were. One more quick story...since I was young, I would often go out after work and have a few cocktails...sometimes too many. The next day when I was struggling at work Liz would grab my hand and take me into the medical office. She'd pull out the oxygen and give me hit to clear my head. Worked like magic! Thank you Liz for all you taught me, for being my friend and for being wonderful you. I love you.
Please accept my deepest sympathy -- Liz was one of the nicest people I have ever met.

I am saddened by the death of Liz. She was my "little sister" in nursing school. Liz was a wonderful person as you already know and I propose there is a little less light on the earth
So sorry to hear the passing of your mom. She always brought a smile to our faces whenever we ran in to her.
