Elizabeth "Bette" M. Daly's Obituary
Elizabeth “Bette” M. (Geis) Daly, 85, a resident of Methuen died on Friday April 10, 2020 at her home. Bette was born in Ozone Park NY, was educated in the Ozone Park Schools and is a graduate of Bishop McDonnell Memorial High School in Brooklyn, NY. She continued her education at Northern Essex Community College and graduated from the University of Massachusetts Boston with her Bachelor Degree in Education. She worked as a teacher for 31 years, serving 8 1/2 years at Holy Trinity School in Lawrence and then another 21 1/2 years at the Leonard School in Lawrence. She was a member of the Lawrence Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and also very active at the former Holy Trinity Church in Lawrence.
Bette was the daughter of the late Eberhardt and Lizzie (Dunn) Geis. She is survived by her children Cheryll Stetar and her husband John of Irmo, South Carolina, Teri Pouliot and her husband Charles of Haverhill, Stephen Daly and his wife Brenda of Hampstead NH, Lisa McDermott and her husband Thomas of Methuen, Michael Daly and his wife Kelley of Deltona, Florida and Debbie Daly of Methuen. Bette is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was extremely close to her granddaughter Stefaney Stella. She was predeceased by her son John W. Daly Jr. and her grandson Robert A. Stella.
