A good friend at the GAO, 1972-1977. His dad had a great sense of humor ,too, and his mother cooked a great meal in DC. I stayed at his parents’ house in Lawrence when we went to a friend’s wedding on Cape Cod. And in DC with David and Barbara after I left DC, if my fading memory holds up. We spent many an hour sitting together telling stories and laughing. Behind your quiet demeanor was a highly intelligent guy who loved to read and learn new things. You always had a big smile and a warm handshake for me. You are my friend; I am deeply saddened by your passing and will miss you dearly. Until books are opened and our names are read; rest in peace.
