Anna Marie Lombardi (Savastano), of Methuen, MA, died Monday, 21JAN of Natural Causes. She was 84 years old at the time of her death. Anna attended Lawrence schools and was a graduate of the Lawrence General Hospital Nursing Schoo Read Obituary
I remember Anna from when I was a little girl. She was the sweetest and kindest woman. She was genuinely interested in how you were when she asked. Over the years, I would see her and found her to be the same loving person.
I am truly sorry that she is gone. Anna was very special.

Our families have been neighbors since Andy built their house on East Capitol Street in Methuen. About 50 years ago Anna brought a gift to my mother, the madonna of the kitchen statue. It has been in our kitchen since. My mother passed away in 2009. Since then, every Friday night I light a votive candle under that statue and say a prayer. Tonight that candle and prayer is for Anna. She will be missed and remembered fondly.
Some of my greatest memories as a kid were visiting Nana and Papa. Whether it was Christmas Day brunches with the Lombardi’s or mowing the lawn after school with mom, the time spent in Methuen and the love and compassion I recieved from my grandparents truly made me the person I am today.
Nana you will be missed.

As a kid, going to my Nana and Papa’s house was always very special to me. It was a place unlike any other. Always full of life, people shouting across the table, talking, laughing, eating...Each Lombardi as loud at the next, all with full hearts and stomachs. Papa never wore a shirt, Nana would never sit down. She would ask you if you wanted another tonic from the garage. Of course you did, but you’d get it yourself because she’s working far too hard on a Sunday as it is. I have fond memories of making rosaries with her after dinner. I love you Nana. We are all better people because of you. All the love.
