Andrew R. "Andy" Slauter's Obituary
Andrew R. “Andy” Slauter, age 90, a resident of Salem, NH, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. Born and raised in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Anna (Burba) Slauter and A. Andrew Slauter.
Andy proudly served in the U.S. Army 1957-1963, during the Korean War, honoring his country with dedication and courage. He was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1952, and went on to earn an associate degree from Boston University. He built a long and successful career with AT&T (formerly Western Electric) before retiring.
Prior to moving to Atkinson in 1992, Andy was a long-time resident of North Andover. He was predeceased by his wife Claire (Chamberlin) Slauter in 2025 and one sister, Joan Ouellette.
Andy is survived by his sons, Michael Slauter of Hampton, NH, and Significant Other Tami Coughlin of North Andover, MA., and Steven Slauter and his wife Cindi (Cratty) Slauter of Katy, Texas; his loving granddaughters Ashley, Kali, Stephanie, and Samantha Slauter; and cherished great-grandson; Bennett Steudel and great-granddaughter; Shaela Gallagher.
Calling hours will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on December 5th, 2025 at the Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack Street, No. Andover, MA.
His funeral mass will be celebrated on December 5th, 2025, Friday, at 11:30 in St. Michael’s Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA.
Burial will follow with military honors at Ridgewood Cemetery in North Andover, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andy’s memory to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
