William "Bill" Lannon Sr.'s Obituary
William “Bill” Lannon Sr., of Methuen MA, and formerly Lawrence MA, passed away Wednesday April 9th, at home surrounded by family after a long battle with cancer. Born in 1951, to John and Mae Lannon, Bill was a lifelong resident of the Merrimack Valley and graduated Central Catholic High School in 1970. He was a graduate of Salem State College earning a bachelor’s degree in fire science administration. He was a veteran of the Coast Guard, and a Fire Fighter, achieving the rank of Captain and serving as Arson Investigator in the city of Lawrence from 1976-2009. An avid sports fan, Bill enjoyed watching his favorite Patriots, and spending time on the golf course with his sons. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and son, Bill is preceded in death by his parents John and Mae, and sister Maureen, and survived by his wife Carol (Wilde), sons Bill Jr, Taighe, and Tyler, his grandchildren Kaylee and Cooper, daughters-in-laws Jennifer and Cameron, his brother John and sisters Joanne and Frances, and numerous friends who will all miss him very much. Services will be held at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home in Lawrence, MA on Friday April 11 from 4-7pm.
