My sincerest condolences to Billy's family. I worked for him when I was in colleget; his first female road supervisor. He was firm but wonderfully kind and I learned so much from him. Today, heaven is a better place because Billy's there, listening.
Dear Family, I was so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I knew Bill many years ago,and he truly was a good friend..I will be holding Bill and his family in my thoughts and prays today, and always..
GLORIA & DEBRA I ONLY GOT TO MEET YOU ONCE BUT I WAS VERY SADDENED TO LEARN OF BILL'S DEATH.CLARE & DANNY WILL REMEMBER BILL AND I GO BACK TO ST. AUGUSTINE'S SCHOOL. I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT ALL THE GOOD TIMES BILL & I SHARED EVEN THE DEVELISH PRAMKS LIKE CUTTING THE WIRES ON THE RECESS BELL SO WE COULD HAVE A LONGER RECESS. HANGING AROUND THE STORES ON AMES STREET, DRAG RACING ON RIVERSIDE DRIVE. BILL COULD SPEED SHIFT HIS 1951 FORD BETTER THAN ANYBODY. YES WE RAISED A LITTLE HELL BUT ALL IN GOOD FUN.OVER THE YEARS I MOVED TO NH AND BILL TO LOWELL AND WE WEREN'T IN CONTACT THAT MUCH BUT OUR PATHS WOULD ALWAYS PASS EVERY NOW AND THEN. HE WAS A GOOD FRIEND. I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER BILL AND HE AND HIS FAMILY ARE IN MY PRAYERS. GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU. LARRY SMITH
Goodbye old friend. We shared many good times, great stories and loads of laughs. I'll miss you!
Gloria my thoughts are with you and your family. When Rick called to tell me about Bill I was in a state of shock, I still can not believe it and when I go up to Methuen Massachusetts it will never be the same. As Bill would put the game plan in motion and let Rick and Steve know I was coming up and we would always go out for a good meal, and some old good stories Bill would always tell. He was a Fantastic Friend who I will never forget because he never forgot you. I am very grafteful that I had a chance to have that one last great time with him as we ate and watched the Red Sox when I was up there just a few weeks ago I will miss him a lot!! Chuck Dobeck
Bill, I was saddened to hear of your sudden passing but wanted to thank you for your years of frienship and assistance over the years. Your humor always made what seemed to be a serious situation bearable and always with hope. You will surely be missed.
Hello Aunt Gloria, How are you doing? How is Jennifer? I want to be there so bad but I can not make it. I will miss Uncle Bill. It seems like yesterday we all were at Michelle's bar having a drink. You are in thoughts & prayers. I will be up there soon and I want to see you. You all take care. Love Alway's Tammy & Ernest Pamela & Brenda.
Mrs. Winn and family - I was terribly saddened to read of Bill's sudden passing. Through my dad, the late Judge Dave Williams, I knew Bill from the days of the Lowell District Court. It was my further privilege to have Bill mentor me as I began my PI practice, some 7 years ago. Every conversation, meeting and opportunity to talk with Bill was always a delight, more than helpful and tremendously supportive. Old stories of the days at Lowell District Court would come into our conversations, bringing back fond memories of the people and events of that time. My dad always enjoyed sitting in Lowell, and at the end of business, would stroll over to Bill's office in Probation for a chat. Dad held Bill in great esteem, as do I. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. May your memories sustain you; the love and support of those around you give you strength; and the knowledge that Bill Winn will always be thought of as a gentle man, a true professional and a very special human being. In time, a smile will come as you lovingly recall your memories. You have my very deepest sympathy.
Dear BEN (Bill), I Can't believe you're gone. You were Bigger than life and recently physically too ,which contributed to your demise. If this funeral home knows anything about your life and times they will not delete this letter. I have already spoken to Nana Glo. You were the best friend and closest confidant I ever had. You did an amazing amount of things to enhance my career. We had an enormous amount of fun throughout the years. As John McDermott (not the bookie) once said as the three of us were talking in Molloy's... when Bill Winn dies, in his Eulogy they will say.."He always smoked well", and you did! Every February 8th you would call and say "Happy Birthday Ben" no matter where you were in the country or the world. Without fail you never forgot but this past February you called on February 7th and I said...You Dope It's Tomorrow!!! You said you were in a rush beacuse the Ladies were waiting to go to Dinner Well, that was my last call from you but on every February 8th from now on at about 7:00 P.M. I will be thinking of you and missing just about the best friend I ever had. Always in my heart and thoughts. I Love You! BEN (Mary Ann Richards) BENS TOGETHER
