William J. Halloran's Obituary
William “Bill” J. Halloran, age 91, peacefully passed away October 11, 2023.
He was born in Lawrence, MA, to William and Rita Halloran. He survived his wife of 58 years Dorothy
(Hanley) Halloran. Bill graduated from Central Catholic High school in Lawrence, MA, in 1950. After graduating he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Then worked at AT&T in North Andover, MA, until he retired in 1990.
In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. If it was horse racing, tinkering
with electronics, traveling, watching his grandchildren play sports, spending winters in Florida, dining
out, or eating his desserts, he always did it with a smile on his face. He’s survived by his daughter Traci (Halloran) Mambro and her husband John, of Merrimac, MA, as well as his son William Halloran and his wife Matilda of Amesbury, MA. He is also survived by his three grandchildren Patrick, Freddie, and Michaela Halloran. He was predeceased by his sisters Dorothy Woodworth, Bernice Becotte, and Eileen Crowley and survived by his brother and best friend Frederick Halloran, sister-in-law Mary Keleher, and many nieces and nephews. Bill will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and care for others. Bill’s family would like thank the wonderful people at Ashland Farm, in Noth Andover, and Brighton Hospice for all their care, support and kindness.
Arrangements: There will be calling hours at Breen Memorial Funeral Home on 35 Merrimack Street in
North Andover, MA, between 10-11 am on Wednesday October 18, 2023. Funeral Mass directly
following, 11.30 am at St. Michael’s church, at 196 Main Street, North Andover, MA. Burial will follow
at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Amesbury, MA.
