Violette Ata's Obituary
Violette Ata, 70, from Darb El Sim Lebanon, lost her battle with cancer on Thursday July 14th, 2022. Her two loving parents Elizabeth and Farid Ata and growing up with 8 affectionate siblings. Married to her late husband Hleiss Hleiss, with whom she gave birth to her only son Elie Hleiss. A devoted Maronite that never waivered in her faith.
She immigrated with her family to the United States in 1984 and became a citizen on July 4th, 1994. She was widowed in August of 1990. She worked hard to provide for her family taking on the role of Mother and Father to her only Son. She dedicated her life to helping others working at Felician Sisters in Livonia Michigan serving retired clergy. Helping countless friends and family in their time of need. Her generous heart, unwavering joy and beautiful smile were her calling card. Always willing to laugh and accepting her lot in life with grace.
An affectionate Mother to her son Elie Hleiss and daughter Annie Bathani. She was proud grandmother to Vincent, Lukas and Anthony.
She is predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Farid Ata, husband Hleiss, sister Jaliele, brother Tanous and sister Adel.
Vivo is survived by her son Elie, daughter in law Annie, grandchildren Vincent, Lukas, Anthony. Siblings Newal & Philip Aoun, Leyla Ata, Mary & Ibrahim Ata, Aziz & Mary Ata, Maroun & Amal Ata, Wanis & Eugene Ata, the Hleiss Family and countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and nephews.
Vivo was passionate about helping sick children and their families in their time of need. That is why the family respectfully asks, in lieu of flowers we will collect all donation and forward all the funds to St. Jude’s Hospital in her name. She would be happy knowing that her legacy will continue in helping families.

Family and friends are invited to call on Friday July 22nd, 2022 from 4:00PM – 7:00 PM at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury St. Lawrence, MA 01841. Mass on Saturday July 23rd, 2022 at 10:30AM at St. Anthony Maronite Church 145 Amesbury St., Lawrence MA 01841 and burial at St. Anthony Maronite Cemetery on North Lowell Street, Methuen MA.
