Viola "Mae" (Vachon) Nahill's Obituary
Viola "Mae" (Vachon) Nahill, 84, a resident of Lawrence, MA., formerly of Methuen, MA., passed away on Monday, February 15, 2010 at the M.I. Restorative Center in Lawrence. Born in Lawrence, Mae was educated in the Lawrence Schools. She had helped her husband for many years in the family business at Nahill's Drug Store. Mae was a member of St. Joseph's Melkite Church in Lawrence. The widow of Arthur N. Nahill as well as the mother of the late Virginia "Ginger" Noonan, family members include: sons: Rick Nahill and his wife Karen of Cohasset, MA. and Artie Nahill and his wife Rhonda of Auckland, New Zealand. Mae is also survived by her grandchildren Alexander and Rebecca Noonan who were a big part of her life as well as Anthony, Drew, Bobby, Evan and Cameron Nahill. She also leaves behind many close friends including Sandra DeVellis, Estelle Saab, and Rita and Ray Tarlian. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Joseph's Melkite Church, 241 Hampshire St., Lawrence, MA. Burial will follow in the United Lebanese Cemetery in Andover, MA. Family and friends may call on Friday, February 19, 2010 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Noonan-Strangie Scholarship Fund in care of the Northern Essex Community College Foundation, 100 Elliot Way, Haverhill, MA., 01830.
