Vincent J. Pekarski's Obituary
Vincent Pekarski, 86, passed away peacefully at his Methuen home on
February 8, 2020. He was surrounded by loved ones while watching, for
one last time, game 4 of the 2004 World Series. Born in Lawrence on
March 19, 1933, he was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and a cribbage
champion.
A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Vincent enlisted in the U.S.
Navy at age 17 and was honorably discharged in 1954. Following, he worked in real estate and was a longtime resident of the Philadelphia area before returning home to Massachusetts, which he always called "God's Country," at age 75.
Vincent will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his warm,
loving heart and his enthusiasm for traveling.
Vincent is predeceased by wife Susanne (Beseras Pekarski) of 36 years
and wife Maureen (Sullivan Blanchette), his high school sweetheart
with whom he reconnected after 50 years apart, as well as brother,
Bill, sisters Mary, Bernice, and Rosalie.
He is survived by six children; Robert, Karen, Richard, Ronald, Jennifer and Theodore, and many adoring grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives are cordially invited to calling hours on Feb. 14, 2020 at 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
