Thomas R. Verville's Obituary
Thomas R. Verville, 74, of Lawrence passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in his home surrounded by his beloved wife and children.
Tom the son of the late Alfred and Blanche (Legros) Verville was born and raised in Lawrence. He graduated from Lawrence High School in 1962 and proudly served in United States Navy aboard the Richard E. Byrd stationed in Norfolk, Virginia.
Tom worked for Brockway-Smith Company, Andover, MA for 26 years retiring in 2007. He was known for his strong work ethic, always providing for his family. Every summer you could be sure to find Tom at Salisbury Beach Reservation campground, he loved the beach and his campfires, he spent all winter collecting firewood to share with this camping friends.
An avid golfer his whole life, Tom played on multiple courses with Tommy Mullins and many other friends. He was never a sore loser but always enjoyed a good win. A life long New England Patriots Fan, he took great joy in their 5th Super Bowl win.
Tom’s big heart and outgoing personality will be missed by all who knew him, he was everyone’s friend.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife of 53 years Peggy (Margaret Solomon) Verville, his sister Carol Verville of Quincy, MA, his brother Ronald Verville of Danville, NH, his sister the late Linda (Verville) Burnside her husband Kenneth Burnside of Seneca, SC. His cherished children, Kim and Paul Linehan of Arizona, Heidi and Michael Monahan of Amesbury, Mark and Peggy (Lynch) Verville of North Andover. His seven adored grandchildren who will miss their “PaPa” with all their hearts, P.J., Ben and Samantha (Cowley) Linehan, Alex Verville, Matthew Monahan, Abbi and Michael Verville and his best buddy Ebony Rose his beloved dog. Tom also leaves 3 nephews and extended family members whom he loved dearly.
