Dear Mrs. Solomon, Joanne, Mike, John, David, Eileen & Family,
I am so sorry for your loss.
As soon as I read of Mr. Solomon’s passing, all I could think of were the wonderful memories of Hemenway Street. Football, baseball, hockey, relevio, etc. that we all played. The times swimming in the Solomon pool, or just hanging out. But mostly, my barber, Mr. Solomon, was my first & only barber until the day that he retired. He cut my hair at both barber locations. I always enjoyed visiting my friends’ dad to get my hair cut. He would talk to me & tell age-appropriate stories and as I got older, the stories would change with the appropriateness of my age – but ALWAYS respectful & clean. As my son Matt got old enough, Mr. Solomon gave him his first haircut. He was so caring, kind, and gentle with Matt, making sure that he was comfortable and trusting in the barber’s chair.
Tom always wore that wonderful smile. He was such a kind and gentle man who taught me a lot about being a man.
My deepest sympathy to the entire Solomon family. I will always remember your husband, your Dad with wonderful memories.
May he Rest In Peace.
Steve Buote
