Methuen, MA — Thomas J. Jacobs, 73, of Methuen, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at Cedarview Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Lawrence on November 2, 1951, he was the son of the late Thomas R. and Rita (Morin) Jacobs. Thomas will be remembered for his gentle spirit and the way he cared for all living things. He loved animals of every kind, especially turtles, and shared a special bond with his cat, Baddy. More than anything, he treasured time with his family, who were the center of his world.
He is survived by his devoted daughter, Erin Baranowski, and her husband Jonathan of Methuen; and his beloved grandchildren, Mariah, Jonathan Jr., Kira, and Aylah, who brought him endless joy. He also leaves behind his siblings: Veronica Jacobs of New Hampshire; Michelle Oberlin and her husband John of Ohio; James Jacobs of Lawrence; John Jacobs and his wife Elise of Lawrence; Suzanne Stevens and her husband Ray of Haverhill; and Joyce Cross and her husband Tom of Orlando, FL; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
