Thomas M. Foley's Obituary
Thomas Michael Foley of Hookset, NH passed away at the age of 69 on February 23, after a short illness. Tom was born on August 19, 1953, in Lawrence, Massachusetts. He was the son of the late Vincent P Foley, Sr and Genevieve Killeen Foley. Tom grew up in the Tower Hill section of Lawrence and attended St. Augustine’s Grammar School. He graduated from Central Catholic HS in 1971 and Northern Essex Community College in 1973.
Tom is survived by his loving wife Virginia (Pudgie) Gamble Foley. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Vincent P. Foley Jr and his wife Jeanne of Seabrook Beach NH, Justine G. Croteau and her husband Robert of Andover MA, Barbara T. Jensen and her husband William of Salem NH and Michael J. Foley and his wife Beth of Walnut Creek, CA. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Russell R Karl of North Andover, MA. Tom is also survived by sisters-in-law Elizabeth Cloutier, Roberta Schneider, Geraldine Fayad, Dawn Rogers, Thomasina Armengol and Susan Craven. Thomas was predeceased by his siblings Patricia Foley Karl, Catherine M. Foley and Mary Elizabeth Foley and grandson Declan Reagan. Tom is also survived by niece Cassandra Nelson and grandson Adrian Reagan as well as many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
Tom worked for many years as a supervisor in the semi-conductor industry and more recently as a manager for lumber and cabinet-making companies. Tom will be remembered by all who knew him as a “jack of all trades” handyman and tradesman. Friends and family often turned to him to fix, repair or replace anything that needed fixing whether it was mechanical, electrical or in need of some carpentry.
Tom loved the outdoors, hunting and camping in the woods of NH and Maine. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and especially loved rides on his Harley Davidson bike with Pudgie holding on.
