North Andover, MA ? Thomas F. ?Rusty? McCarty Jr., 61, a resident of North Andover, Mass., passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015,at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, surrounded by his family. Born in North Andover, Rusty was a graduate of St. Michael?s Grammar School and went on to graduate from Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School. Rusty had worked as a Chef at both the Hale Hospital in Haverhill and then at Ashland Farm Assisted Living Facility in North Andover. He was a communicant of St. Michael?s Church in North Andover until his illness. The son of the late Thomas F. and Daisey (MacCord) McCarty, family members include his sons, Jason D. McCarty and his wife, Michelle, of Sandown, N.H., and Ryan M. McCarty and his wife, Rebecca, of Haverhill, Mass.; a brother, Francis T. McCarty of North Andover; and sisters, Beverly Rogato and her husband, Richard, of North Andover, Susan Najuch and her husband, Lawrence, of Bradford, Mass., and Judy D?Elia and her husband, Richard, of North Andover; as well as four granddaughters. Rusty was the father of the late Kevin J. McCarty and grandfather of the late Jack D. McCarty. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 15th, at 10 a.m., at John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 35 Merrimack St., North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, January 14th, from 4 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
