Thomas Peter Allain's Obituary
Thomas Peter Allain passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 .
Born in Andover February 28, 1932 to Thomas and Phoebe (Bernard) Allain, he was a resident of South Lawrence, Methuen, MA and Ft Myers, FL.
Tom served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He worked many years as a floor mechanic for Arlington and Lawrence Floor Covering also for the Gillette Company in Ballardvale until his retirement in1994. A long time member of the Lawrence Elks where he would play 45’s card games and enjoyed spending time with his fellow Elk members.
Tom enjoyed spending time in St. Maarten, while also visiting other islands with his wife of 54 years Patricia (Mannion) Allain, as well as many years with his family at their summer home at Chases Grove, on Big Island Pond, Derry NH. Taking many trips back home to Prince Edward Island to visit his relatives and friends, especially his cousin Benny Bernard. Their adventures including fishing, clam digging and steaming lobsters.
In the winter months he spent his time in Fort Myers with his loved ones and friends at the Pinewood and Brandy Wine communities. After his wife Patricia succumbed to cancer he courted and eventually married Bernadette Connell who was a good friend and a big help to our mom during her battle with Multiple Myeloma. Tom and “Bernie” enjoyed traveling on cruise ships and enjoyed going to many different casinos and beaches.
Beloved husband of Bernadette (Connell) Allain married 10 years.

Peter P. Allain and his wife Mary Ellen (deceased) of Salem, NH
Paul M. Allain and his husband Steven Fairbrother of South Lawrence, MA
Susan M. Larocque and her wife Lori Flanagan of Haverhill, MA.
He is survived by his brother Donald and wife Diane, and sister-in-laws Frances and Gail.
Grand Children: Lindsay Jones, Danielle Proctor, Stephanie Larocque, Eric Allain,
Amy Allain, Krystal Domingos, Peter B. Allain, David Larocque
and Thomas C. Allain.
Great Grand Children: Zoe, Brayden, Katrina, Kira, Bryan, Aubrie, Luke and Connor. As well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Tom was predeceased by his son Bruce Wayne, brothers Charles, Bernard, Joseph and his sisters Delores, Doris and Marie.
Relatives and friends may call on Monday, June 17th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 18th, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in Saint Patrick's Church, 118 S. Broadway, Lawrence, MA. His burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
