I just learned of Sue Ellen's passing. I worked at the Steven's Memorial Library until she retired. Sue Ellen was the kindest, most compassionate and caring person I've had the pleasure to know. Her true happiness in life was making others happy. At our holiday parties at the library, her happiness was seeing others opening their gifts. Her goal knife was to make others happy. She was one of a kind, and I'm so happy to have had her in my life. I will always cherish our friendship. She was a genuine loving and caring person. This world has lost an angel. Susan Ayer Bergman

Sue Ellen and I were childhood friends and neighbors on Bradstreet Road in North Andover.
She was sweet and the most orderly person I ever met. So it was no surprise that she eventually ran the Stevens Memorial Library!
The whole Holmes family was lovely and our little community was a happy place.
God bless them all, those still with us and those who have passed.
