Shane M. Danahy Sr.'s Obituary
Shane Michaelean Danahy Sr., from the start Shane was a bundle of love, joy and laughter. Born on January 7, 1963, at Lawrence General Hospital, he was the cherished son of the pre-deceased James (Skip) Raymond Danahy and of Frances Guilmette Danahy of Methuen. Shane's life was woven with threads of love, family, and adventure. His passing, surrounded by his loving family, was courageous as he battled complications stemming from a failing heart. Shane's academic pursuits led him to Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical High School, where he studied welding, setting the stage for a life of hard work. He proudly worked for the family business as a Steeple Jack and roofer, later joining Matrix. Shane was a small giant from birth, his strong stature was always welcomed on every job.
As the 6th of 7 siblings, Shane's heart was filled with camaraderie, cherishing the memories of laughter-filled moments and cooking up a storm of pancakes for his loved ones. His zest for life was evident in his passion for outdoor sports, particularly downhill ski racing with his brother Kyle in their younger days. His love for fishing, boating, tubing, skiing, and snowmobiling with friends and family gave him much joy. Family gatherings, cookouts, and days at the beach were always filled with laughter. A caring and helpful man, Shane's kindness knew no bounds, making him a beloved son, brother, and father.
He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, survived by his son Shane Michaelean Danahy Jr of Methuen, daughter Meagan Danahy of Okeechobee, Florida, and grandson Jaxon Taft of Okeechobee, Florida. Lisa Angley Therrien (predeceased) the mother of their children.
