Beloved wife of the late Lionel (Leo) Myers. Dear mother of Gail Jones and her husband, Raymond of Methuen. Devoted and loving grandmother of Erin Alyssa Jones of Methuen. Sister of the late Rita Gosselin, William Lahey, and John Lahey, Jr. Ruth is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Over the years, Ruth loved going to the seacoast and spending time with family and friends at Salisbury and Rye beaches. She also had a great love for sewing and completed a four-year dressmaking course. Using her creative sewing talents, Ruth designed and made her daughter Gail's wedding gown including all the dresses and headpieces for the entire bridal party. Family was the center of Ruth's life. She was extremely proud of and extremely close to her daughter and granddaughter. Ruth cherished their times together by visiting Erin at college, going on endless fun shopping trips, and sewing numerous outfits for special occasions. Ruth also enjoyed crocheting, was an avid reader, and loved the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. Recently, Ruth enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and participating in the numerous activities and crafts offered by the wonderful Nevins activity staff and volunteers.
