Rosemary "Auntie" Gilbert's Obituary
Rosemary “Auntie” Gilbert (O’Connor)
Rosemary, 63, passed away on June 8, 2020, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosemary was born to the late John and Patricia O’Connor, April 07, 1957 in Lawrence, MA. Rosemary was a 1975 graduate of Lawrence High School and was the longtime CFO of Minasian & Minasian Attorneys.
She is survived by her partner Tom Kobrenski of Lawrence, her children Jon DeLaurier of Lawrence, Ryan Molloy and his wife Tara Molloy of Lawrence, Shannon Molloy and Christopher O’Reilly of Haverhill, Kaleigh Gilbert and Courtney Beverage of Lawrence, and her two Grandchildren Caden and Cole Molloy, siblings John and Barbara O’Connor of Medford, Faith and Shawn Danahy of Methuen, Kevin and Patricia O’Connor of Lawrence, and Mandy and Joe Helfrich of Groveland. Additionally, she leaves behind many nieces and nephews and even more adults and children, who would refer to her as Auntie. Rosemary is predeceased by her siblings Cynthia O’Connor, Bonnie Rupkey (O’Connor) and her husband Robert Rupkey, and Keith O’Connor.
Above all, Rosemary enjoyed being a mother the most. She enjoyed spontaneous road trips to explore the world with her children, often driving them to school in Lawrence, pretending to miss an exit and driving them all the way to Disney World. She was extremely proud of her Irish heritage, declaring St Patrick’s Day the best holiday and loved making green spaghetti. Rosemary loved her Christmas Eve “open house” where all of her family and loved ones would gather in her home. She truly loved the ocean and spending time at Salisbury Beach, where she found the best views of the ocean at campsite Y32. We love you a hundred dollar bushel Mom and don’t forget about the biscuits!
An outdoor Celebration of Life for Rosemary will be held at her home on Friday, June 19,2020.
