Rose D. (DiFruscio) Rapazzo's Obituary
Rose D. Rapazzo, 89 of Methuen passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at Nevins Nursing Home in Methuen.
Born in Lawrence, MA on March 29, 1930, and aptly named Rose, by her parents Rocco and Ida DiFruscio, she was a beautiful, generous, and loving soul.
A lifelong resident of the Merrimack Valley, Rose worked at Western Electric, Wang Labs, and Bishop’s Restaurant prior to her retirement in 1990.
She enjoyed traveling, reading, movies, and cheering on the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots. One of her favorite traveling memories was of her 80th Birthday celebration in Las Vegas.
Rose was fond of the holidays and especially Thanksgiving which was her favorite and she leaves her family with many fond memories of their lives together.
The wife of the late Raymond “Rappy” Rapazzo, who passed away in 1979, Rose is survived by her children, Robert of Methuen, Ronald of Salem, NH, Raymond and his wife Diane of Sandown, NH, and daughter and her husband, Roseann and Mark Napoleone of Scarborough, ME, 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Brothers, Rocco of Methuen, Tony of Orlando, FL, and sister Rita of Methuen, along with several nieces and nephews.
Rose was predeceased by her son, Richard, daughter, Rosemary, and grandsons, Raymond Rapazzo and Joseph Shay.
The Rapazzo family is thankful to the Nevins Nursing Home staff for the excellent care provided to their Mother.
Celebration of Rose’s life are being made by the John Breen Funeral Home, Inc. 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, November 18th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her service will follow the calling hours at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
