Dear Rose...my best, longest known (at least 70 years...yikes), funniest, most positive and loved friend. I will probably not be terribly "far behind you" in finding out about what lies beyond (and I am VERY sure there IS a "beyond"), but I know that it will be great fun to see you, young and beautiful again, and be "goofy" with you (remember harmonizing, skipping down the sidewalk, screeching with laughter?), watching you make my dad, that solemn and quiet man, shake with laughter at your zany antics. I love you, I miss you, I miss our friendship, but I feel your presence, so I herein make a promise: I will write to your daughter and tell her about crazy, young, you and me (and Dotty, Rita and Irene...our "gang.")
