Rose L. Broz's Obituary
Rose L. Broz (née LeFevre), 98, of North Andover, Mass. passed away peacefully Thursday, May 14, 2020. Rose was born in New Paltz, NY, on February 3, 1922, daughter of the late James O. LeFevre and Laura (née Woodward) LeFevre and sister to siblings, Esther Shea, Mildred Tronto and Ralph LeFevre.
Rose was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Igor R. Broz, and is survived by her sons, John G. Broz and his wife, Joanne Broz of Billerica, Mass., Russell L. Broz and his wife, Ellen B. Weber of Wellington, Florida, and daughter, Linda J. Flewett and her husband, Thomas Flewett of Lower Hutt, New Zealand; she also leaves two grandsons - Samuel Flewett of Concon, Chile and his wife, Pamela Rosales, and a great grandson, Manuel Flewett – and Tristan Flewett and his life partner, Jen King of Christchurch, New Zealand.
Educated at SUNY of New Paltz, Rose started her teaching career in Albany, NY and later took an assignment in Aruba, where she taught for many years. There she met her husband and together they raised their family while living in Aruba, New Jersey, Switzerland and London, England.
Rose was an avid traveler who enjoyed gardening and playing the piano in addition to volunteering at her local library.
