Robert J. "Bob" Cuomo's Obituary
Robert (Bob) J. Cuomo, 77 of North Andover, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, MA. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Fournier) Cuomo with whom he shared fifty-five years in marriage. They settled in North Andover, where they made their home and raised their children.
Born and raised in Lawrence, the son of the late Pasquale and Eva (Ragosta) Cuomo. Bob graduated first in his class from Merrimack College and earned a Ph. D. in Economics from Boston College in 1977. Bob was the Founding Dean of the School of Business at Dean College in Franklin and previously the Dean of the Girard School of Business at Merrimack College in North Andover. Bob provided expert witness testimony before legislative bodies, including the U.S Congress and the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities. He held senior management positions in the corporate, consulting and higher education industries. He was the Treasurer of the Joey Fournier Services, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Bob recently coauthored three books on Leadership.
When his kids were growing up, Bob enjoyed coaching their sports teams and being a cub scout leader at Saint Michael School. He cherished time spent with his family, especially during the holidays, as this was an opportunity for them to come together and celebrate. He also enjoyed watching all the New England Sports Teams. He always loved spending time at the beach and was very happy to be a grandfather for the first time six weeks ago.
In addition to his wife, Donna, Bob is survived by and will be greatly missed by his children, Mark Cuomo and his wife Jacqueline of Concord, NH, Rachel Mullin and her husband, John Mullin of North Andover, grandchild, Luke Robert Mullin, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Celeste and Philip Decubellis of Methuen, brother-in-law Michael Fournier of Salem, NH, brother-in-law James Fournier and his partner Paul Favreau of Boston and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on Friday, November 22, 2024, between 4:00-7:00 PM at John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, 35 Merrimack Street, North Andover. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:30 AM at St. Michael Church, 196 Main Street, North Andover.
