Robert R. Alartosky's Obituary
Robert R. Alartosky, 84, a resident of Methuen, MA, passed away on Sunday October 2, 2022.
Born in Haverhill, MA on October 12, 1937, Bob was a graduate of Wingate Grammar School, Haverhill High School and Northeastern University. He began his working career at Western Electric, then Wang Laboratories but his most rewarding job was being an electronics teacher at both the Greater Lawrence Technical High School and the Whittier Regional Vocational Technical High School. Bob was a roller coaster fanatic and longtime member of “ACE” the American Coaster Enthusiasts. He traveled across the country and abroad riding coasters with his children and later, grandchildren. Bob also enjoyed traveling with his wife Sheila, family, and friends to numerous locations but mostly their favorite place Aruba. Bob was an avid photographer which left us with memories from childhood thru many years. Bob was always quick with a joke, enjoyed having a beer with friends and playing Keno.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Sheila A. (Redmond) Alartosky and his parents Joseph and Irene (Morin) Alartosky. He is survived by his daughter Patti Alartosky, son Robb Alartosky and fiancé Lisa Ruffino, grandchildren Kate Bean and Michael Alartosky, sister Elaine Eyssi, as well as nieces Jackie, Sheila, Donna, Sharon, Stephanie, and their families. Bob also leaves lifelong friends Jerry and Cheryl LeBlanc, special friends Val Longo, Trisha Cusack-Cyr, Styves Gauvin and Doreen Lemieux.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 7, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. in St Theresa’s Church, 22 Plymouth St., Methuen. Burial will take place at a later date. Family and friends may call on Thursday October 6, 2022 from 4 to 8 P.M. at the John Breen Funeral Home, 122 Amesbury St, Lawrence, MA.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Residence at Salem Woods and Merrimack Valley Hospice for their outstanding care that Bob received.
