Rita M (Plamondon) Warren's Obituary
Rita M (Plamondon) Warren (90) of Manchester, NH, passed on peacefully in the very early morning on June 22, 2021.
She was born in Haverhill, MA to Ernest Plamondon and Marion (Cronin) Plamondon on. July 12, 1930. She spent her early years with her immediate family, including her brother Edgar, who was 4 years her senior.
On April 12, 1947 she married Ralph E Warren. They subsequently built their home and family in Haverhill, MA and later Salem, NH. They had 8 children, 24 grand children, 34 great grand children and 4 great great grandchildren.
Rita was a compassionate caretaker of all things. Her and Ralph’s home was always full of family: children that left and moved back, babies, visitors. There was often a slew of animals as well: cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and a visiting skunk or two. Her bedroom in most recent years was full of pictures of her offspring, kittens, horses and puppies.
Rest assured, Rita was no wall-flower. She knew how to manage the chaos and would stand her ground when needed. Her friends and family describe her as sometime stubborn, but always a joy to be around. You would always find her with a big smile, a big hug and a twinkle in her bright blue eyes.
Rita is also very passionate about her Christian beliefs. She was a devout member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses since the early 1970s. She actively recruited and supported the community. And, she counted the group as an extended family.
She is survived by her children: Linda O’Neil of New Boston, NH, Kathleen (and Casimir) Suchecki of New Boston, NH; Ralph (and Linda) Warren of Salem, NH;
Nancy Mattheson, of Barton, VT; Gail Warren, Brenda Warren of Salem, NH; Sharon Plamondon of x, NH; and Dan Warren of Derry, NH; as well as many many loving grandchildren (great and great-great), nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Her family and friends wish to thank the Hackett Hill staff in Manchester, NH for taking our place when we could not be there. This last year was especially hard as we had to visit her via limited circumstances. You loved her and held her hand, bringing her great beauty and happiness. We loved the family reunion you hosted. And we are consoled that you loved her so. We will all love her forever.
We also would like to send a special thank you and love to Rita’s roommate and best friend of the last few years, Becky. You have been her comrade, confidante and entertainer. Thank you for always for the friendship. It was a relief to know that she had you by her side.
In lieu of flowers we kindly request that you make a donation to the Animal Rescue League of NH https://www.rescueleague.org/ in her name. To send an online condolence please go to www.breenfuneralhome.com.
