Rita M. (Maloof) Johnson's Obituary
Rita M. (Maloof) Johnson, 91, a resident of Salem NH, died at the Lawrence General Hospital on May 8th 2020.
She was born on February 28, 1929 to Moses and Sadie (Atta) Maloof. She attended St. Rita’s Grammar School, a graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Lawrence. Graduated from St. John’s School of Nursing in Lowell, and John Hopkins Postgraduate Nurses in Operating Room Techniques in Baltimore, Maryland. She worked at various hospital: Peter Bent Brigham operating room in Boston, West Roxbury VA, Cardiac operating room Nurse and gastrointestinal-OR Nurse. As well as working at the Lawrence General Hospital-outpatient and emergency room, Private scrub nurse for Doctor Cook, Dr. Muto, and Dr. Burbank, Women’s Free and Brigham Hospital in Boston and the Salem Walk-In, Salem, NH until her retirement.
She is the wife of the late: Richard James Johnson and she leaves her beloved children: Philip M and wife Susan Tirrell-Kelley of Salem NH, Phyllis E and husband Roland Routhier of Salem NH, her step children, Richard D and wife Susan C of NC, David G and Carla of Hudson NH, Susan M and husband James McLean of Salem NH, Mary A and husband Randy Schwarzenberg of Salem NH and Michael Johnson of Manchester NH. She is predeceased by several brothers and sisters, Michael, Cecelia, Josephine, Edna, George and James. She is also predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Marleena McLean and Charles Burling. She leaves behind several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
