Rita Claire (McDonald) Dyson's Obituary
Mrs. Rita Claire (McDonald) Dyson, 90, a resident of Lawrence, MA. formerly of North Andover, MA. passed away on Tuesday, March 24th, 2009 at the Lawrence General Hospital. She was born in North Andover, MA. on October 1st, 1918 to the late Frank H. and Anna (Daley) McDonald. Rita was educated in the North Andover Schools and was a graduate of Johnson High School in 1936. Rita worked for Western Electric and was a Clerk Typist for the Internal Revenue Service. She was a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians #128, was active in the Diamond Spring Gardens and enjoyed crossword puzzles and shopping. Wife of the late: Mr. Wilson J. Dyson who passed away in 1982, family members include: Nieces: Nancy Kidd and her husband Jim of West Newbury, MA., Marilyn Twomey and her husband Roger of Lawrence, MA., Debbie Lamontagne and her husband Leo of Lawrence, MA., Maureen Polizzotti and her husband Frank of Bradford, MA., and Carol Vandecasteele of Florida. She is also survived by her nephew: Phillip McDonald of New Hampshire. Rita was predeceased by her sisters: Mrs. Arthur (Mary McDonald) Howker and Mrs. Richard (Anna McDonald) Wolfendale as well as her brothers: Phillip, John, and James McDonald. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 27th, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in Saint Michael Church in North Andover, MA. Burial will follow at the Elmwood Cemetery in Methuen, MA. Family and Friends may call on Friday, March 27th, 2009 from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA.
