Richard Bevin Jr.'s Obituary
Litchfield, NH: Richard Bevin, Jr., 74, a resident of Litchfield, NH for the past 45 years, died on July 11, 2022, at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center in Nashua.
Raised and educated in North Andover, MA, Richard (Richie) was the son of the late Richard and Claire (Herdegen) Bevin. He attended North Andover grammar school and high school where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams. He graduated from North Andover High School with the Class of 1966.
Richie served in the United States Army including 2 tours of duty in Vietnam. After military service, he spent most of his work years as an employee of BAE Systems, Inc. in Nashua, NH. In 1972 Richie married Robin Ireland of Hyannis, MA.
Richie loved the outdoors. He and Robin liked to spend time at their summer home in Maine. Richie enjoyed hunting, boating and exploring backwoods logging roads. He was a dog person who loved his golden retrievers.
Friends will remember Richie as a good person who was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. He was a great friend.
Richie will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 50 years, Robin Bevin of Litchfield, NH. He is survived by his brother Ronald Bevin and his wife, Mary Jane of The Villages, Florida, his cousin Steven Bailey of Tenant’s Harbor, Maine and cousin Claire McCarthy of Lawrence, MA.
At the family’s request, memorial services will be private. Memorial contributions can be made to Salem Animal Rescue League, Salem, NH or Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue, Inc., Hudson, MA.
