Dear Borrelli Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy about Busty passing away. Just reading about Busty in the paper brought back so many fond memories of growing up on Oak and Elm Street. Hanging around the "common" day in and day out with everyone. Sitting on the steps in "Busty's Lot", eating "Docs' Pizza", going to Canobie Lake Park, the Central theater. Busty was a wonderful friend, he always made us laugh. I am sure he will be missed and remembered by everyone who knew and loved him. May God Bless him and grant him eternal rest. Dear Ed, Carol & Joseph and family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of Busty. Upon researching my memory is it easy to remember when we were all the "heart and soul" of the old north common neighborhood. It is also easy to recall growing up with Busty, playing whiffle ball with Ed, Busty and all the other friends in "Busty's Lot" on Elm St. Fond memories of always being welcome into your home by your entire family. When Busty's dad would take him and all his friends fishing are memories embedded in my mind. A wonderful family indeed. Busty and I would sneak into Bengy's gym and make believe we were the best boxers in the world. Well maybe he was one of them, but I recall always taking it on the chin from him pretty good. Dearest Borelli Family; Please accept my deepest condolences in the death of your brother and uncle Paul. He's been my friend since I was a teenager so I've known him about 33 years. I remember Hondo and just recently Paul was walking my dog 'Leggo' for me. He lived with me and my family for a short time, just recently, until he could get back on his feet and get his own place. Which he did after only a few short months. I saw how sick he was then, but also how determined and proud he was. Busty was a kind soul and was always a true, loyal friend above all else. I will never forget him. I was away with my husband Friday night; we went to see Van Halen in CT. and stayed overnight so I did not see the paper. I'm so sorry I missed his services and didn't get a chance to say goodbye. He was my friend and I love him. He called me from Maine recently to tell me he was living with his brother Edward and his wife Leslie and was OK because he knew I worry about him. Thank you both for loving him so much. No matter what, he did not deserve to die alone. You will go to heaven for that. I also would like to extend my condolences to Joseph for the loss of his wife. According to Busty, 'She was a saint' and he loved you both so much. I know how much you both loved him. He talked about how good you both were to him all the time and felt really bad about how his situation troubled you both so. I hope you know that. Thank you all for allowing me to send this to you. I've never spoken to either of you before and probably would never have gotten the chance to if it weren't for this. Thank you for taking care of my friend Paul and for being great human beings. Hi I am saddened to hear of my high school buddy, Busty Borelli's passing. I have wonderful memories of our laughing in the corridors of Lawrence High. I live in the Pompano Beach area and am sorry I did not know he was down here living. We have lost a kind soul who loved life. He had a great sense of humor even in the most difficult times. Recently I had a chance to spend some time with Busty and we shared some delightful momemts. He has been an encouragement to me ever since we met and he will be missed. Eddie and family.........I am sorry to hear of your loss of Busty.........I can still remember throwing him passes in the parking lot of the Union Of Italy Grand.....and later him running back all those punt returns for touchdowns againt Central Catholic. Also his days as altar boy with my brother Ricahrd at St. Peter and Paul church. One time in particular when he sat beside a lit candle on the altar and it nearly caught fire to his cassick. His back was turned to the candle and I remember thinking that I would yell from my pew if he had gotten any closer. Boy would that have gotten us both in trouble with Father McCusker!
