Patricia M. (Morrison) Currence's Obituary
Patricia M. (Morrison) Currence, 83, a resident of Haverhill, MA, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House surrounded by her family. Born in Lawrence, MA, Patricia was a graduate of St. Mary's High School. She had worked for Gillette for some 21 years. Patricia was very active at the Haverhill Senior Center doing volunteer work such as making helmet hats for the soldiers in Afghanistan as well as hats for cancer patients at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. She would also help make teddy bears for the Pioneers of America who would distribute them to ambulance companies and fire departments to help children and the elderly who were injured, sick, or scared. Patricia also enjoyed reading, knitting, and crocheting which would usually be used to benefit someone in need. She also liked to use her computer. Her family will miss her sense of humor. The widow of Delbert A. Currence, family members include her daughters: Patricia Fay and her husband David of Methuen, MA, Delberta Murphy and her husband Kyle of Ararat, NC, Karen Dreyer of Bradford, MA, and Janice Campaiola of Haverhill, MA. Patricia is also survived by a sister-in-law Joan Morrison of Seabrook, NH, 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 5 brothers and 1 sister. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, May 1, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury St., Lawrence, MA. Burial services will be private.
