Donella N. Curtis
Dear Kathy, Maureen & Family: I am Patti Curtis's mother and she requested that when I saw you, to express her sorrow and sympathy to you at the loss of your dear mother, as well as my own. Unfortunately, I was unable to come in person today. I knew your mother long before you were all students at St. Rita School. When I married in 1950, I waited for the bus on upper Lawrence St. to take me downtown to where I worked in the Bay State Building. Your mother also waited for the bus on the same corner and we got to know each other. Then after she married and had her children and I had mine, we met again on Lawrence St. but at Stearns & Sunset Avenues. Then Kathy, you and Patti were in the same classes. Pat & I would see each other at the school functions and have great conversations catching up. There were the PTA meetings, Strawberry Festivals, First Communions, Confirmations and Graduations, etc. I have not seen your Mom in quite a few years. She moved and we moved even further away toward West Methuen. My thoughts of her are very dear, as she was a sweet, lovely lady, always having a good word for everyone. My deepest sympathy to you all for the great loss of your dear Mother. Mrs. Donella Curtis
