Orange Legette Jr.'s Obituary
Orange J Legette Jr., of Lawrence, Massachusetts passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Holy Family Hospital. He was born on November 29, 1942 in Brittons Neck, South Carolina to the late Orange and Lena Legette Sr. He later relocated to Lawrence, Massachusetts where he met and was united in holy matrimony to Lula "Dean" Legette. Within this union, they were blessed with 6 Children; Michael (Gina), Jerry, Judy, Michelle (John), Ronnie and Patrice Legette.
He was educated in Brittons Neck, South Carolina during his childhood. He worked at the PT break line in South Lawrence and the Lawrence Paper Mill for many years before it burned down. His hobbies included gardening, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, eldest sister Gladys Woodberry, Elizabeth Legette, Mary Faulk and brother in law Sam Hester. He is survived by his wife Lula Legette, children, siblings Lester (Lula Mae), Alfred (Lela Mae), Kalvin, Lucinda Legette- Davis, aunt, Elease Graves, 24 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and sister in laws Elizabeth Walters and Jessie Hester. He is also survived by a host of nephews, nieces, family and friends.
Relatives and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, September 28th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the John Breen Memorial Funeral Home, Inc., 122 Amesbury Street, Lawrence, MA. His service will be held at 12:00 Noon immediately following the calling hours. Burial will follow in Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
