Onilfa Maria Rodriguez's Obituary
Onilfa Maria Rodriguez, 70 of Methuen, Massachusetts passed away on November 4, 2023. She was born in the Dominican Republic. Onilfa attended Hunter College School of Nursing in NYC. She was an attendant of Free Methodist Church in Lawrence, MA. She is survived by 3 children and a grandson.
Onilfa..She's a domincan born... PROUD US immigrant that made New York City, Lawrence, and Methuen her stomping grounds.
Windy, Bacana, La Peleona, La Merenhilda, La Jodona, Hija, Hermana, Tia, Amiga, Prima, Abuela, MAMA.
A woman with many names...
She's an activist, a knitter and crocheter, a radio personality, a sales woman, an immigrant advocate, jig saw puzzle dominator, a teacher, and a VERY resourceful problem solver (lol IFKYK)
Doesn't matter what you have going on. Big, small, complicated, scary, difficult... IMPOSSIBLE?
She'll say "Just WATCH me!"
Whether you just met or if she's known you for decades... you have a problem???
Challenge accepted - She'll SOLVE it.
If you really know her then you know she does it ALL.
She does it all, unapologetically HER way.
She can't be contained. A person of the people. Literally and figuratively a force of nature with a heart and soul made of the purest gold.
I speak of her here, now, in the present.
Like she's still here. Because the truth is she is and always will be.
Because no one SO LOVED, SO POWERFUL... SO UNIQUE, AND ADMIRED COULD EVER REALLY BE LOST.
Thank you all for celebrating our mom with us!
