Nonna Kliss Lehmkuhl, 79, of Marblehead, MA died Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born March 14, 1935 in Pinsk, Poland. Her family immigrated in 1949, originally settling in Utica, NY. Nonna received a degree in Chemistry from U Read Obituary
We will miss Nonna's devotion all growing things, her expert advice on growing hydrangeas. She was a woman of strength and grace who nurtured beauty.
To my Cousins, Life has been hectic for all of us. It comes to the point where things come to an end. We have lost more than we can think of. However the memories will live. I take upon myself to pray for the repose of Aunt Nonna, Uncle Carl, and all of our pre deceased. Love me.
As I am sure you know, Nonna held a very special place in the hearts of many of us who spend our winters in Vieques. We planned our weeks around the wonderful bridge days at her home, and learned so much from her. For many years Nonna was a dedicated volunteer at the Vieques Conservation and Historical Trust in the Gift shop and a valued supporter of the educational programs at the Trust. We will all miss her so much. Please accept my most sincere condolences to her family and thanks for the opportunity of knowing Nonna. She will always have a special place in our hearts. Hi Kathy, Natalie, Bob, and Lisa, We are so sorry to hear about your mother's death. Nonna was a wonderful person and will be missed by all. We just spent time in FL and talked about Nonna and Carl with Kevin's parents and the Gelpke's. Doubt we can attend the church services, but hope to see you at Lime Rd. on Monday.
