Nilda Rigueiro's Obituary
Nilda Rigueiro was born in Havana Cuba 1943, to her parents Ramon and Amelia Rodriguez, was raised together with her 8 siblings. Graduated with a nursing degree, then got married to her husband Jose Rigueiro, they had their first son Jose Luis Rigueiro Jr. in Cuba before migrating to Spain, in Spain they welcomed their second son, Jesus Arles Rigueiro, while awaiting entrance to the USA. They arrived at Lawrence Ma, in 1974, then later welcome their daughter Barbara Mahoney. Nilda worked at Lawrence Public Schools for 30 years, her students loved Nilda being there for them, guiding and inspiring them along the way. All her colleagues always complimented Nilda for her sense of fashion, always matching, from head to toe. On her retirement ceremony, she was awarded for her dedication to the schools and the students through her career. After retiring she devoted her time to her grandchildren, Nilda loved watching sitcoms, shopping, being taken on drives, reading her bible, going to church, going on walks, people watching, and most of all spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Jose Luis Rigueiro, children: Jose Luis Rigueiro Jr., Jesus Arles Rigueiro, Barbara Mahoney, son in Law: Keith Mahoney, daughter in Law: Yakaira Rigueiro, grandchildren: Keller, Joey, Jesse, Sammie, Gracie, and Eli, nieces, nephews, 3 sisters, and a brother.
