It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Nelsida Ramona Mane Beato, a devoted mother, foster care mom, and beloved grandmother. Nelsida passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 12,2023.
Nelsida is predeceased by her parents Elaida Beato and Juan Mane. She is survived by her loving children: Nelsida Grullon, Santa and Dan Fedock, Luz Alicea and David Alicea, Milagro Grullon, and Joselin Mane. She is also survived by her grandchildren: J. Adoniah Grullon, Wilhelmina L. Alicea, U. Anita Grullon, U. Anna Grullon, Keshia Alicea, David Z Alicea, Carldyn Casado, Nivan Mora, Ronaldo Mora, and Nylee Mora. In addition to her great grandchildren and her brothers and sisters.
Nelsida, born on September 29, 1941, in Martin Garcia, Guayubin, Dominican Republic, ventured to the United States in 1969 for a brighter future. Despite language barriers, she emerged as the sole provider for her family, crafting stability through various textile mills, notably Milford Coat Factory and GSF Factory.
Retiring from manufacturing in 1993, Nelsida's commitment to family persisted. Reinventing herself, she became a foster mother, opening her home to care for children. Her journey, etched in the threads of the textile era, resonates in the indomitable spirit that defines her legacy.
Despite leaving school after the 3rd grade to shoulder familial responsibilities in the Dominican Republic, Nelsida's unwavering discipline and nearly photographic memory propelled her to consistent excellence. Her achievements not only spoke to her capabilities but also served as beacons for her children, both biological and foster, offering them invaluable examples to forge their own paths to success in life. She was able to see all of her biological children finish their college degrees.
Her influence and warmth extended to a growing family, including ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, each touched by her love, kindness, and wisdom. Nelsida's home was a haven of love, and she took immense pride in being the matriarch of her family, a role she embraced with unwavering strength and grace.
From tending to her immediate family in the Dominican Republic at the tender age of 8 years old, to contributing to the warmth of American households through her work at textile mills like, to embodying disciplined guidance for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and extending a helping hand to her non-biological children for enriched lives—Nelsida's entire existence was a lifelong dedication to the service of family.

Es con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de Nelsida Ramona Mane Beato, una madre devota, madre de crianza (Foster) y querida abuela. Nelsida falleció pacíficamente rodeada de su familia el 12 de diciembre de 2023.
Nelsida falleció después de sus padres Elaida Beato Sosa y Juan Mane Hernandez. Le sobreviven sus amados hijos: Nelsida Grullon, Santa y Dan Fedock, Luz Alicea y David Alicea, Milagro Grullon y Joselin Mane. También le sobreviven sus nietos: J. Adoniah Grullon, Wilhelmina L. Alicea, U. Anita Grullon, U. Anna Grullon, Keshia Alicea, David Z Alicea, Carldyn Casado, Nivan Mora, Ronaldo Mora y Nylee Mora. Ademas de sus bisnietos y sus hermanos y hermanas.
Nelsida, nacida el 29 de septiembre de 1941 en Martín García, Guayubin, República Dominicana. Ella aventuró a los EE. UU en 1969 en busca de un mejor futuro. A pesar de las barreras del idioma, surgió como el único sostén de su familia, logrando estabilidad a través de varias fábricas textiles, en particular Milford Coat Factory y GSF Factory.

Ella logro ver a todos sus hijos biológicos terminar sus títulos universitarios.
Su influencia y calidez se extendieron a una familia en crecimiento, que incluía diez nietos y siete bisnietos, cada uno de ellos tocado por su amor, bondad y sabiduría. El hogar de Nelsida era un remanso de amor y ella se enorgullecía inmensamente de ser la matriarca de su familia, papel que asumió con fuerza y gracia inquebrantables.
Desde atender a su familia inmediata en la República Dominicana a la tierna edad de 8 años, hasta contribuir a la calidez de los hogares estadounidenses a través de su trabajo en fábricas textiles como, hasta encarnar una guía disciplinada para sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos, y extender una mano amiga a sus hijos no biológicos para que tengan vidas enriquecidas: toda la existencia de Nelsida fue una dedicación permanente al servicio de la familia.
